Day one AM of the course schedule will include general AHA overview, Training Center policy and proceedure, and generalized course information typical of all AHA course offerings. PM course work will involve BLS instructor components. Day two of the schedule will include ACLS and then PALS course specific agendas.
Current BLS Instructors who are adding ACLS and PALS to their curriculum: The first day PM portion of this course will account for your BLS HCP renewal requirements.
Students wishing to obtain only their BLS Instructor card DoNot Register for this course. Please register for the BLS Instructor course starting the same day.
In order to qualify for the above Instructor courses you must hold a valid provider certificate and have a letter from a training center or Instructor verifying that your provider skills are exceptional. These programs are fast paced and intense. There will be required reading prior to the start of each class. You will also be given a topic, which you will be responsible to give 10 minutes of instruction to your fellow classmates and the Instructor Trainers, which will account for your grade. Successful completion of this program does not guarantee you an Instructor card. Once you have completed the Instructor class you will have 90 days from the day of completion to be monitored. Failure to do so will require you to take the Instructor class again.
