This American Heart Association, Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider online renewal course is designed to re-affirm your training and assess your skill level. Though not required it is suggested that you already possess a current HCP CPR course card at the time of your skills assessment. This is a self education curriculum and requires you to be profficient in the CPR process without intervention from an evaluator.
The Process Explained:
1) Select a date and time you would like to perform your skills evaluation from the registration page. Select an evaluation date at least 2 weeks from the day you schedule and pay. This will allow 2 days to receive your online key code and plenty of time to complete.
2) When you receive your keycode via emial you must complete the online portion successfully within 2 tries. The system will not allow you to log on and test a third time.
3) Print the course completion certificate and have it with you when you arrive for skills testing.
4) Arrive for your skills appointment 10 minutes early. Your scheduled window for testing will not extent past your end time. Each appointment is 15 minutes long.
5) Practice your skills so that you are able to perform each skill in a timely fashion and without interruption. The evaluator will not provide instruction during this evaluation. Incomplete or incorrect skills presentation will result in a failure. Failures of the online renewal are treated the same as a conventional renewal and students will be required to sit for a complete initial course.
6) This is course is designed as a refresher/renewal course, not an initial instruction. No remediation will be provided during the skills session. You must be profficient.
