JeffSTAT Communications Center

JeffSTAT's Communications Center operates 24 hours a day. Using a
computer-aided dispatch system (CAD), JeffSTAT's dispatchers continuously track the status
and location of all vehicles and transport teams. The dispatchers in the Communications Center
maintain constant contact with its personnel via digital pagers, 2-way radios, and
cellular telephones.
When referring a transport to JeffSTAT's Communications Center, the
dispatcher will ask you to provide the following information:

Type of transport/service requested
Date and time of the transport
Patient's name, home address, telephone number, age, date of birth, and
sex
Diagnosis, chief complaint, or reason for transport
Insurance information including the type, identification number,
authorization numbers and group numbers for all insurance carriers
Referring & receiving facility
Referring & receiving physician
Name of the caller and contact telephone number
Hospitals who refer transports to JeffSTAT must provide the following:
- Copy of the patient's face sheet
- Copy of the patient's chart
- Copies of X-rays and other radiological studies (for critical care patients)
- Completed Physician's Medical Necessity Certification Form
- Completed Advanced Directive Verification Form (if applicable)
These records will be picked up by the transport teams when they arrive.
