Welcome to the home page for University Health Services. Together with the Department of Environmental Health and Safety and the Department of Infection Control, UHS works to provide a safe and healthy environment for the students, employees and volunteers of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Thomas Jefferson University, and Jefferson University Physicians.

Pre-employment Examinations:

UHS conducts pre-employment examinations for all employees. Prospective employees are askedto bring their immunization records at the time of their pre-employment examination. Appointments are made through Human Resources. Housestaff pre-employment examinations are scheduled directly through our office. Immunization requirements are determined by the TJUH Infection Control Policy.

Pre-matriculation Examinations:  

All students are required to submit a pre-matriculation physical examination form to UHS prior to registration.   

Employees, students and volunteers may be seen for episodic care visits on a walk-in basis during the hours of 7:30AM-11 AM and 1-3:30 PM. Vaccinations and TB skin tests are provided throughout the day.

Occupational Exposures for Employees and Students

Any employee or student who has sustained a body fluid exposure should be seen as soon as possible in UHS, or in the Jefferson Emergency Department during off-hours. See Occupational Exposure to Body Fluid Section.
