Preparing Academic Success Strategies (PASS)

PASS is a FREE half-day workshop offered every fall semester for incoming students on the skills that encourage an effective transition to academic success and achievement of educational and professional goals here at Jefferson. The workshop focuses on how to build upon strengths and further develop active study strategies and efficient time management in a challenging academic environment with new demands.

We strongly believe that every student at Jefferson can succeed. PASS provides tools that will help students reach that success.

PASS 2017 will be held on Friday, August 18th from 9am – 1pm in Herbut Auditorium, College Building.

NOTE: Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. A second date may be added if demand warrants – those applying after registration has reached capacity will be notified and placed on a waiting list.

Our review of the study cycle provides an opportunity to consider strategies for adjusting each stage of study to improve efficiency and to incorporate elements of active study earlier and more often.

For a more detailed discussion of the study cycle, and as a first step before scheduling an individual study strategies consultation, please attend the workshop "Adjusting the Study Cycle: Strategies for Active and Efficient Learning." This workshop is offered every Monday at noon in the 1111 Conference Room, 901 Walnut. Please register at AppointmentPlus
