Overview

The Student Writing Center can assist you with any stage of the writing process, from brainstorming, drafting, revising to APA and AMA formatting.

In a writing consultation you will meet with a professional writing consultant who will work with you, one-on-one, to help you plan, create and strengthen your writing. The consultant does not simply edit or proofread your writing, instead reads your writing with you and discusses the specific strengths and areas of needed growth. We will provide constructive feedback that allows you to take steps to complete the assignment and improve your writing.

The consultant can also address the demands and anxieties you may have about writing within your disicipline and work with you to find strategies to mitigate and overcome those challenges, such as “writer’s block”, writing anxiety or procrastination.

The Student Writing Center is located on the 11th floor of the Edison Building, Room 1125.  Students can schedule both in-person appointments (see details here) and online reviews (see details here).  If you would like to schedule an appointment or have any questions contact Brian Cuzzolina at Brian.Cuzzolina@jefferson.edu. or (215) 503-2787.
