Thomas Jefferson University is home to many international students. We welcome people from all over the world to work, study, and engage in research at Jefferson.
This page outlines the additional requirements that international students must complete as a part of your application.
For information about visa applications and transitioning to Jefferson as an accepted student, please visit our Office of International Affairs.
Thomas Jefferson University does not accept international transcripts with a program application. Any courses taken outside of the United States must be evaluated by WES (Word Education Services) – www.wes.org or an accredited evaluation agency*. Purchase a course-by-course evaluation of all of your transcripts and submit a copy of the sealed evaluation to your program’s application.
*If you have a transcript already evaluated by an agency other than WES, please contact 215-503-8890 or TJU.Admissions@jefferson.edu to determine if that evaluation is acceptable.
All Thomas Jefferson University students must demonstrate English Language Proficiency, and this may require taking an English language proficiency test. At Thomas Jefferson University, the TOEFL exam is the preferred English language proficiency test. Learn more about the English Language Proficiency requirements at the following websites:
