Admissions Application Instructions

Program: Accelerated Professional Master's

Thank you for your interest in Bioscience Technologies at Thomas Jefferson University!

Jefferson College of Health Professions has partnered with AHCAS, the Central Application Service for Allied Health Professionals, to collect and manage applications to the Bioscience Technologies program.

To apply, please follow the instructions below:

Create an account in AHCAS though the applicant portal found here and follow the directions to complete the application.

You can only select one major per application term (your major is your program designation).  If you select multiple designations, your application will not be processed.

Submit official High School transcripts, international evaluations (WES), and if applicable, any post-secondary transcripts directly to AHCAS:

AHCAS Transcript Processing Center
P.O. Box 9127
Watertown, MA 02471

If your courses were completed outside of the United States, you must submit a course-by-course evaluation from WES (www.wes.org)

Submit an essay, "Describing an experience that demonstrates your interest and commitment to your chosen health profession" via AHCAS. Click here to see AHCAS personal statement submission instructions.

Two letters of recommendation are required by AHCAS for application completion.

Students will need to provide the name, title and email address of recommenders during time of application. AHCAS will email a recommendation form directly to the references.  References return the recommendation form directly to AHCAS, not the student.

If you have letters of recommendation previously written for you by a reference, contact your counselor directly.

Send official TOEFL scores (if applicable) to Jefferson at the following address:

130 S. 9th St.
Suite 100
Philadelphia, PA 19107
TOEFL code = 2903

Please click here for additional information on the TOEFL.

Submit the $95 application fee to AHCAS.

* All required documents such as transcripts and letters of recommendation must be sent directly to AHCAS – please do not send these to our office. If you send them to our office, you will have to request new copies to send to AHCAS.

Jefferson communicates with applicants via email, so please provide a valid email address and adjust your email settings to allow mail from Jefferson.edu.

Admissions Deadline Dates

International Students:  May 15, 2015

Note:  International applicants who are currently in the U.S. studying in F-1 status with another school have until July 15th to submit their admission application.

U.S. Citizens, Permanent Residents, and International Students with Current F-1 Visas:  July 15, 2015

U.S. Citizens, Permanent Residents, and international students in current F-1 status must submit their admission application by July 15th.
