Thank you for your interest in Bioscience Technologies at Thomas Jefferson University!

To apply, please follow the instructions below:

Create an account in TJAPP though the applicant portal found here and follow the directions to complete the application.

You can only select one major per application term (your major is your program designation).  If you select multiple designations, your application will not be processed.

Submit official High School transcripts, international evaluations (WES), and if applicable, any post-secondary transcripts directly to TJAPP:

If your courses were completed outside of the United States, you must submit a course-by-course evaluation from WES (

  • Describe a current ethical or moral healthcare issue and explain how it may change or affect the role of healthcare practitioners in your desired profession.


  • Describe a situation you have encountered in the past that required you to use critical thinking and problem solving skills. Based on that experience, explain how you might resolve a similar issue in your desired healthcare profession.

Two letters of recommendation are required by TJAPP for application completion.

Students will need to provide the name and email address of recommenders during time of application. TJAPP will email a recommendation form directly to the references.  References return the recommendation form directly to TJAPP, not the student. 

If you have letters of recommendation previously written for you by a reference, contact your counselor directly.

Submit the $50 application fee to TJAPP.

* All required documents such as transcripts and letters of recommendation must be sent directly to TJAPP – please do not send these to our office. If you send them to our office, you will have to request new copies to send to TJAPP.

Admissions Deadline Dates

International Students:  May 15

International applicants who are coming from abroad or who are in the U.S. on a non-F-1 visa are strongly encouraged to submit their admission application by May 15th to ensure enough time to complete the visa process.  Jefferson will still accept and review international applications after May 15th but may need to defer the application to a later start term due to the visa application timeline.

Note:  International applicants who are currently in the U.S. studying in F-1 status with another College have until July 15th to submit their admission application.
