Community Outreach Activities

Individuals with a science or technology background are needed to volunteer as Science Presenters in our many exhibits. Science Presenters do demonstrations, answer questions, and explain science concepts.

Volunteering can be done on weekdays or weekends. Interested applicants should be willing to commit to at least 100 hours of service by volunteering for four hours on a weekly or biweekly basis.

Volunteer benefits include free admission to the Museum and theaters, discounts in the Museum shop and restaurant, free parking or transportation reimbursement when volunteering, invitations to special events, and the opportunity to earn a free Museum membership.

If you would like more information about volunteering, please contact The Franklin Institute Volunteer Department, at (215) 448-1163 or volprog@fi.edu. The Franklin Institute's website is www.fi.edu
