Thomas Jefferson University requires all matriculated students (Certificate, Post-Baccalaureate, MS and PhD) to have health insurance, and to complete the enrollment/waiver process each academic year.
Information about the enrollment/waiver process for the Thomas Jefferson University student health insurance can be found on the University Student Life website.
The open-enrollment period for the Jefferson Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences is now open beginning July 1, 2014 and will close September 30, 2014. If you are currently enrolled in any insurance plans offered through the Graduate School in the 2013-14 academic year, this coverage will expire on August 31, 2014. You MUST complete online enrollment for insurance coverage in 2014-2015 by the first day of classes.
Students are responsible for the cost of coverage for any spouse/dependents or the optional dental insurance plan. Any additional payment must be made by the first day of classes.
Full-time doctoral students receiving a fellowship award in JGSBS will have their health insurance funded through their program/department, but you MUST complete the online enrollment to have coverage in 2014-2015.
Contact the Student Insurance Coordinator if you have further questions.
