Thomas Jefferson’s Life Safety Program contains policies and procedures that, when implemented and maintained, will prevent injury, loss of life, and property damage. The program will achieve compliance with the code and our legal obligations and help satisfy insurance requirements concerning life safety emergencies.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct fire investigations as needed.
  • Conduct building inspections for code deficiencies.
  • Train employees on fire emergency procedure and fire extinguisher use.
  • Fire and building code enforcement and interpretation.
  • Conduct fire drills.
  • Assist Facilities Services with fire alarm testing.
  • Review building fire protection plan.
