Student Loan Repayment

Thomas Jefferson University is pleased to announce that as of November 1, 2017, the billing for your Federal Perkins, Health Profession, Nursing, or Institutional Student Loans will be handled by Heartland ECSI, a leading provider of student loan servicing and higher education services. With this change, there are a few important items that you will need to know.

ACS/Conduent, the previous billing servicer, will continue to provide service through October 31, 2017. Effective November 1, 2017, and after the data transfer is complete, questions regarding your account should be directed to Heartland ECSI.

Heartland ECSI will not have Thomas Jefferson University’s data until the second or third business day of November, and the transition will take approximately ten days. Please do not attempt to review your account information online until the transition is completed. Once the Thomas Jefferson University’s data is converted to Heartland ECSI, you will receive correspondence from Heartland ECSI with your online account access information.

Heartland ECSI provides web-based and mobile app access to your account where you will be able to take advantage of convenient features such as account management, online payments, electronic statements, payment history, and online document access. The transfer of servicing does not affect any term or condition of your student loan(s) other than the entity servicing the loan.

We are working closely with Heartland ECSI to ensure a smooth transition. Please be advised that any payment or documentation mailed to ACS/Conduent after October 31, 2017, will be forwarded to Heartland ECSI for processing. Additionally, if your account is setup with recurring payments with ACS/Conduent, those payments will be canceled on October 31, 2017. Recurring payments can be reset by accessing your Heartland ECSI account online or by contacting the Heartland ECSI Customer Service Department.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we strive to improve our service to you.

Sincerely,

Student Accounts Office
