Professional Training

As part of the Jefferson College of Health Professions, Jefferson Elder Care offers certifications for occupational therapists seeking to provide better services for older adults.

Skills2Care is our home-based certification training program for occupational therapists. The program is designed to improve the skills of caregivers who help manage seniors exhibiting dementia symptoms or behavior. Training includes modalities for helping slow a senior’s decline in daily functioning and skills for reducing challenging behaviors that can trigger nursing home placement.
