Accounts & Passwords

For members of the University community, accounts are generated automatically with access to systems determined by role. Your campus key is used for your logins.

Employees, Full Time Faculty & Researchers

Employees of the University and Jefferson University Physicians, including Full-Time Faculty and Researchers automatically receive logon accounts to the following University Resources:

SECURITY WARNING:
No University group, including Jeff IS&T would ever ask you for your account information, such as USERNAME, CAMPUS KEY or PASSWORD via email.

If you receive an email request this information or that links to a website that requests this information, do not respond. If you reply to such an email your Jefferson accounts may need to be disabled. Please remember that Jeff IS&T will NEVER ask for your Social Security Number, password or account data via email.

  • TJU-MST - The University network logon domain*
  • Pulse - The University resource portal
  • JeffMail - The University email system
  • JeffShare -  The University personal file storage system
  • Library workstations - Workstation access in the library and other public areas
  • Wireless - Wireless access in the library and other public areas
  • JEFFLINE - Online Journals and Library Research resources
  • Peoplesoft - Peoplesoft Self-Service Resources

 *Access to departmental shares and resources are not automatically granted and must be requested by a manager or departmental time keeper.

Students

University Students  automatically receive logon accounts to the following University Resources:

  • Pulse – The University resource portal
  • JeffMail - The University email system
  • JeffShare -  The University personal file storage system
  • Library workstations - Workstation access in the library and other public areas
  • Wireless - Wireless access in the dorms, library and other public areas
  • JEFFLINE - Online Journals and Library Research resources
  • BannerWeb - Banner On-Line Resources

Consultants & Affiliates

University Students automatically receive logon accounts to Pulse and the public workstations.  Additional access may be available for Consultants upon request of the department employing them.

Passwords

Account passwords are preset. The preset password is provided to Students and Employees during orientation. Account passwords should be reset immediately upon receipt. Passwords should be changed every 90 days.
