Jefferson Clinical Outcomes Research & Education

Jefferson Clinical Outcomes Research & Education (JCORE) provides support for investigator-initiated clinical and translational research activities from proposal development and project management to presentation and publication. The group coordinates research and educational opportunities for faculty, physician-in-training, and students of the Jefferson Medical College and manages mentoring for projects ranging from database and registry studies to clinical trial design and operation. JCORE has leveraged its resources and experience to successes in federal and industry grants across the University and Hospital.

PERSONNEL

Suzanne Adams, RN MPH (Manager)

Suzanne is responsible for project development and project management. She works with faculty investigators to develop clinical research studies and provides support at all stages of the process, from proposal development to publication.

Laura Vinci, RN MBA (Research Project Manager)

Laura coordinates investigator-initiated study projects as well as strategic initiatives. She is overseeing the implementation of the Clinical Trial Management System and quality improvement efforts for JCCCR.

Melissa McCarey, MPH (Research Assistant)

Melissa assists faculty and fellows at all stages of project completion with grant formation, regulatory assistance, and manuscript preparation. She helps to coordinate JCCCR’s educational and mentoring opportunities in clinical research for Jefferson medical students.

Paul Park, BA (IT Coordinator)

Paul maintains the JCCCR website, handles major IS/IT issues for JCCCR, and coordinates a Pulmonary Registry study. In addition, he assists in the development and implementation of JCCCR’s Clinical Trials Management System and will serve as site administrator following its implementation.

Lauren Trinsey, MS (Research Coordinator II)

Lauren conducts screening and enrolls inpatients and outpatients into investigator-initiated studies. She also provides screening for prospective studies to assist in gauging feasibility for new research.
