Expertise & Research Interests

GUCY2C-targeted vaccines for gastrointestinal cancer therapy. The goal of these studies is to develop cancer vaccines targeting the cancer antigen GUCY2C found in gastric, esophageal, pancreatic and colorectal cancers. Ongoing studies are testing an adenovirus-based GUCY2C vaccine in human clinical trials, while preclinical studies are exploring the mechanisms influencing vaccine efficacy which may lead to the development of improved vaccination strategies.

Combining radiotherapy and vaccines in cancer treatment. These projects seek to understand how radiotherapy and cancer vaccines can be combined to improve treatment for colorectal, prostate and head and neck cancers, as well as define the mechanisms underlying their synergy.
