Application Process

The TJUH Urology Residency Program participates in the National Residency Match Program (NRMP) and uses the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

The Urology Department is utilizing ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service) for the application process. If you are interested in applying to our program, please contact your medical Dean's Office for your ERAS information and application packet or visit the ERAS web site for more information. If you are an international medical graduate, please contact your local ECFMG or more information on ERAS

Your application and supporting documentation (with the exception of the Dean's letter) must be received by our office through ERAS no later than Friday, October 4, 2009. Applications received through ERAS, after this date, will not be considered for our program. Items required for the ERAS application include:

  • Transcript from your medical school
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Dean's letter
  • Board Scores: Step 1 (2 and 3, if available)
  • Personal Statement - ERAS
  • One photograph - mandatory

Interviews

Unfortunately, we are unable to interview all the candidates and interviews are scheduled by invitation only. Interview dates will be posted when finalized and are typically held in late November/early December.  Invitees will be notified via e-mail with a confirmation letter to follow. Thank you for your interest in our program.
