Susan Shamimi-Noori, MD Appointed Assistant Professor of Radiology at Thomas Jefferson University
(PHILADELPHIA) – Susan Shamimi-Noori, MD, an interventional radiologist, has been appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology at Thomas Jefferson University and a practicing clinician at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Shamimi-Noori specializes in using x-ray and ultrasound technologies to perform minimally invasive procedures including tumor treatments, uterine fibroid treatments, and varicose vein ablations.

Dr. Shamimi-Noori recently completed a fellowship in Interventional Radiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, where she also instructed medical students in radiology. Dr. Shamimi-Noori was a medical resident in radiology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pa. from 2008 to 2012, where she also worked as a radiology instructor. She completed her internship in radiology at Philadelphia's Pennsylvania Hospital in 2008.
Dr. Shamimi-Noori graduated from medical school in 2007 and received a bachelor's degree in 2002, both from Georgetown University. She is a member of national honor societies Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Xi.
Dr. Shamimi-Noori is board-certified in Radiology and licensed in the state of Pennsylvania.
