Thomas Jefferson University Holds Jefferson School of Nursing Commencement for Class of 2014
Donna Brazile, veteran Democratic political strategist, adjunct professor, author, and syndicated columnist will address graduating Jefferson School of Nursing class
PHILADELPHIA— Thomas Jefferson University will hold its 190th Annual Commencement to graduate students from Jefferson School of Nursing on Wednesday, May 28th at 2:30 p.m., at The Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
Guest speaker Donna Brazile is a veteran Democratic political strategist, on-air contributor to CNN and ABC, and former interim National Chair of the Democratic National Committee. Author of the bestselling memoir “Cooking with Grease: Stirring the Pots in American Politics,” Brazile is also a syndicated newspaper columnist and journalist for Ms. Magazine, and O, the Oprah Magazine.
Brazile serves as adjunct professor at Georgetown University and has lectured at over 125 colleges and universities across the country. Brazile has worked on every presidential campaign from 1976 through 2000, and became the first African-American to manage a presidential campaign. She is passionate about encouraging young people to vote, work for and strengthen the system, and to run for public office.
Among her many honors, Brazile has been named one of the 100 Most Powerful Women by Washingtonian magazine, Top 50 Women in America by Essence magazine, and received the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s highest award for political achievement. In 2009, O, The Oprah Magazine chose Ms. Brazile as one of its 20 “remarkable visionaries” for the magazine’s first-ever O Power List.
