Nurse Anesthesia Program Welcomes New Leadership Team
The Nurse Anesthesia Program at Jefferson School of Nursing, Thomas Jefferson University, welcomes Program Director Marian Feil, CRNA, MSN, and Associate Program Director Michael Conti, CRNA, MSN.
Feil, a native Philadelphian who spent 16 years at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital as an expert CRNA clinician, has served as the nurse anesthesia program’s clinical coordinator for the past seven years. She is completing her doctoral studies at Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA, with a research focus on the prevention of peripheral nerve injuries while under anesthesia. Feil is also active with local canine rescue organizations and she has six Old English Sheepdogs and one Lhasa Apse at home.
Conti joins JSN from Drexel University where he served as the senior faculty instructor in the nurse anesthesia program. His anesthesia practice is split between pediatric and adult anesthesia. He is completing the doctoral program at Villanova University, where he is researching the incorporation of high fidelity simulation and interprofessional collaboration in nurse anesthesia education. When Conti gets some down time he can be found on an airplane traveling or reading the latest edition of Food and Wine.
