Students Volunteer at Heart Health Day Event
Three Jefferson School of Nursing students volunteered at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Heart Health Day event at King of Prussia Mall on February 22. Bachelor of science in nursing students Jessica Webb, Kristen Marotta and Lauren Wynne offered blood pressure and BMI screenings to event attendees, including Eagles mascot SWOOP.
“The students were extremely professional and enjoyed the interaction with the participants of the health screening,” said Rose Fitzpatrick-Nelson, MSN, RN, Administrator for Cardiac Services at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. “It is obvious that they are goal-oriented women and are a great asset to the nursing profession!”
