Population Health Sciences

Curriculum

Classes are a mix of onsite courses, held at Thomas Jefferson University's Center City campus, and online classes. Onsite courses are offered during the day and evening, accommodating working adults. Online courses are offered asynchronously using best practices and interactive learning, and are taught by faculty with years of experience and recognized expertise.

There are three terms per year running September to July. Students can begin in the Fall (September) or Spring (January) term. This flexibility allows students to complete coursework at their own pace.

The PhD requires completion of a minimum of 62 credits and students must choose one of four specializations:

  • Health Policy
  • Healthcare Quality & Safety (HQS)
  • Health Behavior Science
  • Applied Health Economics & Outcomes Research (AHEOR)
