Biography

Dr. Rich Jacoby is Clinical Associate Professor at the Jefferson College of Population Health and is Director of Ambulatory Quality Performance Improvement for Jefferson University Physicians, a large multi-specialty clinical practice. Dr. Jacoby’s background includes more than 20 years of dermatology and dermatopathology practice in both private and academic settings. As a dermatopathologist, he served in a variety of administrative positions including Chief Medical Officer, Regional Medical Director and Regional Managing Director for both privately held and publicly traded national laboratory companies. Dr. Jacoby’s interests in the realm of population health focus on elements that relate to clinical care and how it may be improved. His specific areas of interest include quality measurement, process re-engineering, electronic medical records, the use of evidence-based guidelines, and pay-for-performance and other reimbursement systems. Dr. Jacoby received his bachelor of arts degree from New York University, his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and Board certifications in anatomic pathology, dermatology and dermatopathology.
