Dr. Charles Pohl is the Center City Campus Chancellor. In this role, he is responsible for developing and executing campus strategy and overseeing the breath of campus life with a particular focus on the multi-dimensional student experience, community and external engagement, alumni relations, philanthropy and legislative affairs. As Vice Provost for student affairs, he is responsible for developing student-facing university policies and procedures, reporting obligations and compliance across the university. Dr. Pohl, a professor of pediatrics, is also Vice Dean for student affairs at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, Executive Director of the Jefferson Japan Center and Director of the Asano-Gonnella Center for Research in Medical Education and Health Care. He currently serves as Chair for the Group of Student Affairs (GSA) for the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) and Chair of the AAMC GSA Medical Student Performance Evaluation Effective Practices Working Group.
