Senior Associate Dean, Undergraduate Programs
As Senior Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs, Dr. Ann Phalen has oversight for the daily operations, strategic planning, human resources and faculty development of all undergraduate programs offered by the Jefferson College of Nursing. This includes the Center City campus, and the integration of the Abington-Dixon campus and the proposed Aria campus. Most recently, Dr. Phalen supported the redesign and implementation of the new undergraduate concept-based nursing curriculum, Health is H.E.R.E. (Humanistic, Evidence-based, Reflective, Excellence in Clinical Leaders). She has participated in several national presentations that highlight the new curriculum. Dr. Phalen is a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner and received her education at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research interests include cerebral and mesenteric oxygenation, and breastfeeding in the premature infant.
