Dr. Richard Derman serves as the first Vice Provost for Global Affairs at Thomas Jefferson University. He is responsible for overall coordination of global activities that include collaborative research, educational exchanges and clinical initiation. He also directs the Jefferson India Center and Jefferson All-Island Ireland Center.

His Office of Global Affairs also supports the country specific efforts in Europe, India, Latin America and Africa; and helps direct the Global Health International Committee (GHIC). The Vice Provost also facilitates integration of global health opportunity with Jefferson’s academic partners.
