Throughout the year, OTT conducts numerous outreach educational training events and seminars for the TJU and TJUH community.
Some events are formal presentations with speakers invited by OTT to present information on technology transfer-related topics such as intellectual property and start-up ventures. Please click here to view the live video and slide presentations of two recent seminars on university technology invention and patenting issues.
OTT and the Office of Animal Resources (OAR) conduct training seminars on Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs) to inform TJU personnel about the rationale, requirement, and process for establishing an MTA before transferring any biological materials, including lab animal strains, into or out of TJU.
OTT also hosts informal get-togethers such as “Breakfast with OTT” or “Lunch with OTT” at individual research or clinical departments. OTT gives a brief overview of its services and provides breakfast or lunch and gift bags and prize drawings for the department faculty, trainees, and staff. These are great opportunities for the faculty members and the OTT team to talk in person and address any questions and concerns.
