The Office of Research Administration (ORA) assists researchers in applying for, and managing sponsored funding through our mission, which is: to serve as the official point of contact for the various sponsors of scientific and scholarly activity, to facilitate the relationship between Jefferson investigators and these sponsors, to ensure sponsored projects are managed in accordance with sponsor regulations and Jefferson policies and to provide education and resources to support the management of sponsored programs.
The Office of Human Research (OHR) is one of five research support offices overseen by the Vice President for Research, TJU. The mission of these offices is to provide TJU faculty with the support and tools required to carry out successful basic and clinical research that is compliant with federal, state and local regulations. OHR is comprised of two divisions: the Division of Human Subjects Protection (DHSP) which includes the Institutional Review Boards (IRB), and the Division of Clinical Trials Support.
The Office of Research Planning provides planning support for the Vice President for Research, provides projects management of identified research strategic initiatives and operations, generates targeted and ad-hoc reports related to the research mission for the Vice President for Research, interfaces with the other research support offices reporting to the Vice President for Research, and represents the Vice President for Research with other academic, corporate and administrative offices in the TJU and TJUH community as required.
The Office of Animal Resources (OAR) and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) assist the researchers with the tasks necessary to be successful in initiating and conducting animal research.
The Office of Technology Transfer and Business Development (OTT) provides technology transfer expertise and management to connect innovative research with commercial partners, in support of Jefferson’s mission to educate healthcare professionals and discover knowledge.
