As Vice President and University Counsel, Ms. Cavalieri is the chief legal advisor to the President of TJU and other members of the senior leadership of TJU, JMC, JUP and the Colleges of Graduate Studies and Health Professionals. Ms. Cavalieri is also the chief advisor to the TJU and JUP Boards on matters related to governance, fiduciary duties and responsibilities, and Sarbanes-Oxley matters.

Before Ms. Cavalieri joined the Office of University Counsel, she was a partner at the law firm of Pelino & Lentz, P.C. At Pelino & Lentz, P.C., Ms. Cavalieri developed and managed the firm’s interdisciplinary health care department and was active in governmental relations.

Ms. Cavalieri received her Juris Doctorate from Temple University School of Law. She was a practicing nurse before attending law school and received her B.S.N. from the College of New Jersey and her R.N. from New York's Misericordia Hospital School of Nursing.

Active in the legal community, Ms. Cavalieri is the immediate past Chairperson of the Health Law Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association, and is an active member of the American Health Lawyers Association and American Bar Association. She also serves as a Board Member of the Justinian Society. Ms. Cavalieri shares her expertise as a frequent lecturer on health care matters, corporate governance and issues arising in joint ventures between for-profit and not-for-profit entities.
