She received her B.A. from the College of Wooster, her M.P.I.A. from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School for Public and International Affairs and her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude, Order of the Coif and Order of the Barristers. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar.
