Melissa Valentine joined the Office of University Counsel in May 2007. Her primary responsibilities are to provide administrative and research support. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Gender Studies from Loyola College in Maryland in 2002.

Prior to joining Jefferson, she was a subrogation legal assistant at the firm of Simmons, Fields & Fanshaw in Baltimore, Maryland. She intends to pursue a Master's Degree in Public Health.
