Jefferson’s Delta Rho chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, the nursing honor society, received four “Showcase of Regional Excellence” awards recognizing good work in relation to the biennial Presidential Call-to-Action. Delta Rho was recognized in all four areas of the call-to-action: creating welcoming environments, enhancing knowledge resources and networks, contributing to global health and creating a legacy of personal leadership. Delta Rho is listed as an award winner on the honor society’s website, and the chapter received a certificate and was recognized at the 2011 Biennial Convention in Grapevine, Texas, in October. Delta Rho President Julia Ward, PhD, RN, Assistant Dean JSN, Secretary Denise R. Brown, MSN, RNC-OB, Instructor, and President-elect Sharon R. Rainer, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, ANP- C, CEN, CCRN, Instructor, Coordinator, Family Nurse Practitioner Program, attended the regional convention.
