Jefferson Hosts a new Lung Cancer & Related Diseases Patient Symposium
Faculty and staff of Thomas Jefferson University will be hosting a new “Lung Cancer and Related Diseases Patient Symposium” on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the Dorrance H. Hamilton Building at 11th and Locust Streets in Philadelphia, PA. The symposium is an educational seminar designed to enhance patients’ understanding of their disease, provide an overview of the clinical and investigative work conducted at Jefferson for lung cancer and related disease detection and diagnosis, and to discuss the most advanced options for treatment.
The symposium will be attended by patients, family members, care providers and Jefferson faculty/staff members. Our expected 250 attendees will hear from a team of specialists including surgeons, pulmonologists, medical oncologists, researchers, and others. The program will primarily benefit patients and families affected by lung cancer or its related diseases from the tri-state area of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
