Nutrition

Are you worried about your weight? Are you having trouble maintaining a healthy diet? Do food labels and dietary guidelines confuse you? Our nutritional services are designed to help you with your dietary needs and can guide you in the right direction. Some of the dietary assistance available on campus include:

  • An analysis of your diet compared to the USDA Food Guide Pyramid

  • Literature on a wide range of nutrition concerns such as healthy snacking, eating on the run and vegetarianism

  • Weight management consultation with a Commons staff member

  • Individual diet planning programs

Students interested in these services can call 215-503-7743 or e-mail Amy Wagner or stop by the Jefferson-Independence Blue Cross Wellness Center in the basement of Jefferson Alumni Hall.

You can learn more about proper nutrition from the Department of Agriculture website.
