Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Jeffrey earned his M.Arch degree from the University of Illinois with a specialization in building structures. Post graduation, Jeffrey worked as a structural designer in Chicago on a wide variety of types ranging from high-rise to residential.
In 2007, Jeffrey rejoined the University of Illinois as an adjunct professor where he taught numerous undergraduate and graduate courses in structures as well as design studios. He also spent several years teaching abroad in Paris, Versailles, and Barcelona.
Jeffrey joined Philadelphia University in 2016, where he serves as the coordinator for the structures curriculum and additionally teaches design studios. His research interests center on the overlap of structural and architectural design, form-finding, and looking at how emerging workflows, such as parametric design and rapid prototyping, are changing the built environment.
