In our stimulating and supportive environment, you will build a strong foundation in sciences and humanities at the East Falls campus, preparing you for success in upper-division courses for an MS in Biotechnology, Cytotechnology & Cell Sciences, or Medical Laboratory Science at the Center City campus. Students in the Health Sciences dual degree programs take courses with other premedical and health students, while experiencing college life on the East Falls campus.

Two-Year Pathway to BS Degree (2+2)

Students may also choose the two-year pathway to a BS in Biotechnology, Cytotechnology & Cell Sciences, or Medical Laboratory Science. In this pathway program, students build a strong foundation in sciences and humanities at the East Falls campus while preparing for success in upper-division professional courses in BS professional programs offered at the Center City campus.

Students complete 62 credits of pre-professional courses that fulfill professional program prerequisites. Students who interview and maintain progression criteria are guaranteed to matriculate into the professional phase of the BS program. As with all pathway programs, Jefferson’s academic advisors and faculty work closely with our students on course selection and academic progression, to ensure that each student is on pace to transition into the professional phase of their program.

Students will complete a minimum of 90 credits of pre-professional coursework in the first three years of study on the East Falls campus.
