Jefferson College of Nursing is pleased to announce the appointment of four new faculty members, highlighting our commitment to “Reimagine, transform, and disrupt the way nurses lead and impact society.”

Kathleen Gallagher, MBA, RN - Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Jefferson Health
Ms. Gallagher has been instrumental in shaping the thinking on advancing formal programming related to nursing leadership particularly at the doctoral level.  She will play an integral role in advising us as we develop the Master of Science in Nursing - Transformative Systems Leadership and Doctor of Nursing Practice: Executive programs.  Her expertise in leadership, change theory, teamwork, and interprofessional collaboration, among others, will add greatly to the faculty portfolio of the college.

Susan Campbell, DNP, RN - Executive Vice President and Chief Nurse Executive, Jefferson Health
Dr. Campbell has been an integral partner to the Jefferson College of Nursing since her arrival.  Leveraging synergistic resources, we have worked together to formulate many successful academic-practice partnerships, particularly ones that demonstrate the impact of nursing on the health system.  Currently, we are developing several dedicated education units across the system.  These units will deliver a new model of clinical education for pre-licensure nurses and will decrease the onboarding times for newly recruited graduates.

Jeffrey Doucette, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN, Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer, Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals
Dr. Doucette has played a vital role in developing programs and pathways to encourage clinical-academic partnership in education, faculty and staff development, research, and innovation between the Jefferson College of Nursing and Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals.  As the Assistant Dean for Clinical Practice- Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals Partnerships in the Jefferson College of Nursing, he will continue to deliver invaluable educational opportunities for students and innovative programs for academic and clinical nurses.

Kiersten LeBar, DNP, MMHC, CPNP-AC - Vice President, Advanced Practice Providers, Jefferson Health
Dr. LeBar is integral to the Jefferson College of Nursing's ability to develop, implement and evaluate new clinical placement opportunities.  She is a valuable partner to JCN's Associate Dean for Academic Practice Integration.  Together they have spearheaded creative and new clinical training opportunities for our students and have integrated our advanced practice faculty into the organizational matrix of Jefferson Health Enterprise advanced practice providers.
