Biography
Dr. Michele Zawora is a family physician and geriatrician at Jefferson. Dr. Zawora earned her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed her family medicine residency at Lancaster General Family Medicine Residency. She came to Jefferson for her geriatric fellowship and has been a faculty member since graduation. She has previous experience as medical director for a small community-based practice in Rittenhouse Square and for Jefferson Family Medicine Associates in Center City. Currently she serves as the Program Director for the Physician Assistant Program – Center City. Dr. Zawora teaches in the PA Program, Department of Family & Community Medicine, and in JCPH as an adjunct professor for the Public Health & Clinical Practice for PAs course.
Dr. Zawora has an interest in preventive care and immunizations and was selected as one of the 2020 AAFP Vaccine Science Fellows. She is currently working on research in vaccine confidence during the COVID-19 pandemic. She currently practices with Jefferson Family Medicine Associates in family medicine and geriatrics.
