Rehabilitation depends on a team. Jefferson recognizes the importance of that team, and one way we are expressing that is by calling out the rehabilitation sciences programs into one new college with a vision of research, outcomes measurement and evidence-based curriculum.
I am so excited to be the Dean of the Jefferson College of Rehabilitation Sciences because I get to combine my expertise in rehabilitation medicine with the clinical component of rehab, which includes our current programs in physical therapy, occupational therapy and athletic training, and which will soon include other areas, like rehabilitation technology, human engineering and design, cognition and rehabilitation research. As the need for rehabilitation grows, we must grow along with it.
The Jefferson College of Rehabilitation Sciences will be a recognized leader in innovative clinical and research programs in the field of rehab sciences. Along the way, we will continue to deliver an unparalleled valuable education to our students. I’m excited to begin the journey and I know that, working as a team, we will accomplish our goals.
