Jefferson Elder Care is committed to improving the lives of individuals who have memory loss, Alzheimer's disease or other dementias and intellectual disabilities.

America's population is aging, especially the large number of baby boomers who are entering their senior years and living longer due to a greater awareness of healthy lifestyles. One out of every four of these individuals is now or will soon be a caregiver who helps aging individuals remain in the community. Supporting the efforts of these informal and formal caregivers with evidence-based programs is a critical contribution Jefferson Elder Care can make to improve the lives of both seniors and their caregivers.

Who We Are

Jefferson Elder Care offers consultation and professional training services focused on improving the daily lives of older adults and their caregivers.

Developed by experts at Thomas Jefferson University, our research-based programs improve caregiver skills and reduce the need for assistance, help those with memory loss and intellectual disability and dementia perform their daily activities, and enhance the safety and daily function of older adults living in the community.

Specially-trained health professionals teach new skills and coping techniques to people in the comfort of their own living spaces
