Diversity & Inclusion
Thomas Jefferson University is committed to building and expanding a diverse educational community founded on mutual respect and appreciation for each other.
Our Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion
The Department of Surgery, in keeping with the mission of Thomas Jefferson University, is fully committed to the mission of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
We recognize that a broad representation of backgrounds and personal experiences creates the necessary environment for productive collaboration, meaningful scholarship, and superb clinical care. We also recognize that these values should resonate at all levels including our staff, medical students, trainees, and faculty.
It is our mission to deliver the highest quality surgical care and produce the highest quality academic research which requires the participation and dedication of all of us.
Visiting Student Diversity Scholarship
The Scholarship supports rising 4th year medical students from other medical colleges who wish to do surgical sub-internships within Jefferson’s Department of Surgery.
