Military Experience Credit
Thomas Jefferson University awards college credit for documented military training courses and experiences according to the American Council on Education (ACE) guidelines. For credit to be awarded they must be applicable to a student’s program of study. Credit will only be awarded in academic subjects for which Thomas Jefferson University offers a degree program, or significant coursework in a subject area constituting a cluster, minor, or concentration. Free elective credit may be granted for courses taken that do not correspond to a major at the University.
School of Continuing & Professional Studies (SCPS) Policy
SCPS awards college credit for documented military training courses and experiences (occupations) that have been evaluated by the according to the American Council on Education (ACE). Free elective credit may be granted for courses taken that do not correspond to a major at Thomas Jefferson University.
A Joint Service Transcript (Army, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard service members) should be sent to the School of Continuing and Professional Studies and should be received by the start of the student’s third term of enrollment. The Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) is a regionally accredited institution. Air Force service members should request their CCAF transcript be sent to the School when they apply for admission.
