What’s New in SMRR! – Last updated 9/14/2018

  • At this time we are accepting space requests for dates up to 8/31/2019. Any space requests for dates on 9/1/2019 or after will be accepted in Early May of 2019; after course scheduling is complete.
  • EMS Web App is now Available - We are excited to introduce the new EMS Web App to the Jefferson community. The EMS Web App will allow users to be more in-control of the room reservation and event management process. This is the preferred method for submitting room requests.
    • With this new tool you will be able to:
      • View availability of event & academic space on campus
      • Search for space by size, layout capabilities and room features
      • Submit room requests and track the approval process
      • View and email reservation summaries
      • Request AV resources for your event
      • Communicate room setups needed to custodial services
  • EMS Web App Training Sessions - register for a training session on JeffHUB. Sign into Jeff Hub and search for "EMS" under "My Learning" and register for the session you wish to attend. 
  • Renovations in Jefferson Alumni Hall
    • Solis-Cohen & Small Group Rooms (168, 171, 173)
      • Rooms are now available for use.
      • Only courses will be booked in this space. These rooms are not available for non-course events.
    • Now until early October
      • Intermittent noise should be expected in Brent Auditorium, Solis-Cohen Classroom and the small group rooms surrounding Solis-Cohen (JAH 168, 171, 173).
      • Construction takes place M-F, 7a-3p.
      • Classes and events will still be scheduled in these spaces by our office. We ask that all event/course coordinators plan accordingly.
    • Early October through to the end of January 2019
      • Construction will take place M-F, 9p-5a (evening/overnight).
      • Support drilling will cause noise disruption in the East Courtyard, Brent, Solis-Cohen and the surrounding small group rooms (168, 171, 173).
      • Any new requests received by our office will not be placed in the spaces listed above. For events that are already scheduled we ask that event/course coordinators plan accordingly.
    • Early January 2019 – early November 2019
      • Construction will take place M-F, 6a-3p.
      • Intermittent noise should be expected in Brent, Solis-Cohen and surrounding small group rooms (168, 171, 173).
      • Classes and events will still be scheduled in these spaces by our office. We ask that event/course coordinators plan accordingly.
  • Renovations in Curtis Building
    • Now until 10/1/2018
      • All rooms in Curtis are under construction.
      • The whole floor has been reconfigured and new small group rooms will be available for course bookings only.
    • 10/1-15/2018
      • Curtis 218 will become open and available for bookings at this time.
      • Both course and non-course events can be booked in this space.
      • Curtis 218 has not been renovated and will have the same configuration as before.
      • Finishing work will be taking place in the small group rooms surround Curtis 218.
      • Minimal noise disturbances are expected. We ask all event/course coordinators to plan accordingly.
    • 10/15/2018
      • All small group rooms in Curtis will be finished and will be used for course bookings.
