Panopto is a recording software that allows you to easily record and share videos and presentations online. Panopto can be used both in the classroom and remotely.

Using Panopto on Campus

Use Panopto to record podium PC activity to give students video recordings of in-class lectures. Recorded lectures are made available in Canvas after the lecture has completed and the recording has uploaded and processed.

How do I get started?

  1. Reserve a Room
    Email University Office of the Registrar at RoomRequest@jefferson.edu (Note: For M-13, MAH, 616 Hamilton, and 307 Scott reservations, please complete the LR Reservation Form) or call (215) 506-6677
  2.  Reserve Audio Visual Support/Equipment
    Contact AV Services at (215) 503-1290 or email av.mms@jefferson.edu
  3.   Schedule lecture recording
    Email Gail Leone at Gail.Leone@jefferson.edu (copy edtech.support@lists.jefferson.edu) with the following information:

        NAME of event (including Course ID, if applicable)
        START DATE of event and END DATE of event
        EXCLUSION DATES (e.g.: exams, holidays)
        BEGINNING and END time
        LOCATION (please check locations above for capacity)
  4. Complete and email the TJU Release Form to Gail.Leone@jefferson.edu or fax to (215) 923-3203
  5. Review the Lecture Capture FAQ and contact Educational Technologies with support questions or issue
