Course-embedded Librarian

Scott Memorial Library provides an Embedded Librarian in select distance and hybrid learning courses via Canvas. Integration of the librarian will enable collaboration to strengthen information literacy skills during the course and beyond into students’ professional careers.

The role of the librarian can take several forms, such as posting content-specific resources that can easily be located by students, online tutorials, synchronous training, or guidance with research assignments. Our professional librarians will work with instructors to provide students with an enhanced learning environment to assist in developing evidence-based practice skills.
