The Commencement Exercises are scheduled for Wednesday, May 22. 2019. The Ceremony will be held at The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts located at Broad and Spruce Streets – just mere blocks from campus. The ceremony will consist of the conferral of all degrees in the Jefferson College of Nursing, and will last approximately until 4:30 p.m.
We ask that graduates report to The Kimmel Center no later than 1:30 p.m. on the day of Commencement, so that they may participate in an actual dress rehearsal of the Commencement Ceremony. Graduates will first check into their program-specific robing rooms for correct marching order, help with robing, and name announcement verifications. Light refreshments will also be provided for the graduates in each of the robing rooms. Please enter the Kimmel Center from the 15th street or Spruce Street entrance.
Guests are advised to enter the Kimmel Center at the Broad Street entrance and wait in the lobby area. Guests will not be seated in Verizon Hall until approximately 2:00 p.m. Family and friends will have assigned seating and ushers outside of Verizon Hall will assist in seating them.
There are accommodations at The Kimmel for Special Seating or Accessible Requests. Requests are due into the University Office of the Registrar by March 1st and provisions are limited. If your circumstances have changed after the March 1st deadline and you now need to request special seating please send an email immediately to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note, neither Thomas Jefferson University nor the Kimmel Center can provide, loan or rent wheelchairs for guests with special needs.
Tickets & Seating Information
All Students who will be attending the 2019 Commencement Undergraduate & Graduate JCN Ceremony at the Kimmel Center are also guaranteed four tickets for their guests, however this will be assigned seating.
Students will be notified by email if more tickets become available for either cememony. With the assigned seating at the Kimmel Center, only the first four tickets are guaranteed to be seated together.
Please be advised that any remaining outstanding obligations with the University (exit Interview, tuition balance, etc.) must be satisfied before receiving your diploma.

Important Ticketing Info
All students who will be attending the 2019 Commencement ceremony are guaranteed four tickets for their guests. Students will be notified by email if more tickets become available. The Regalia Fair will be held on April 8th and 9th in the JAH Atrium from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. each day.
If you are not able to pick up these items in-person, you may authorize another individual to do so for you. The person picking up your tickets must have your permission and provide a photocopy of your Jefferson ID card to obtain tickets on your behalf.
