The Thomas Jefferson University Respiratory Protection Program aims to establish a safe and healthy work environment for its employees. This program is designed to reduce employee exposure to chemical substances by using respirators. The program also focuses on the necessary medical and training requirements that must be implemented prior to respirator use.
The Department of Environmental Health and Safety evaluates workplace conditions to assess the need for respirators, provide training in the care, maintenance and use of respirators, and conduct the necessary fit testing of respirators.
