Degree & Certificate Options
The MS in Midwifery is a distance education program in midwifery for RNs and CM Pathway applicants who want to become midwives. Graduates are eligible to earn certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board as either a Certified Nurse-Midwife or Certified Midwife.
This is the Full-time Accelerated Coursework Track (FACT) - 1 Year, offered by the Jefferson College of Nursing, is for students who already hold a bachelor’s degree in a field other than nursing.
For professionals who possess a master's or doctoral degree in a health-related discipline, looking to expand their knowledge with a certification looking to expand their knowledge and practice with academic and board certification in midwifery.
The online program seeks to bring midwives to the forefront of transformative leadership to promote the wellbeing of women, families, and communities through the first-ever specialized doctorate in midwifery. Graduates will be prepared for leadership in evidence-based practice, education, advocacy, policy, and administration.
For CNM/CMs who have been out of clinical practice and are looking to refresh their knowledge and skills in anticipation of re-entry to clinical midwifery practice.
The Midwifery Completion program allows practicing midwives to validate and expand professional competencies and skills.
The Leaders in Evidence, Application and Prevention (LEAP) Pathway, offered through the Jefferson College of Population Health, is designed to complement the program's efforts to train healthcare practitioners.
This program is offered through the Jefferson School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
