Mobile Devices FAQs

MobileIron is a mobile device management application that allows Jefferson to apply security standards to any device that is being used to conduct Jefferson business.  We assign the password controls, setup your email and calendar accounts, have the ability to wipe your device in the event it is lost or stolen and we can make Jefferson applications available to you in a user friendly view called the Enterprise App Store. Look for future communications about some of these applications.

Apple Device:  Know your iTunes id and password when you stop in.  You can also download the FREE MobileIron Mobile@Work app from the App Store.

Android Device: Make sure that you have encryption turned on. NOTE: This step has to be done prior to your setup and can take up to 1 hour to complete. If you have questions on how to turn this on, please contact us at 215-503-8287. You can also download the FREE MobileIron Mobile@Work app from the App Store.

Blackberry Device: Jefferson no longer supports the Blackberry platform as a method for conducting Jefferson business.

Not yet.  This will be available down the road, but for the email conversion project you will need to stop by the IS Customer Service Center, 1837 Gibbon, to have them complete this process for you.
